1. Pastor's Message
Dear friends!

What a joy to start this new journey of "e-fellowship" with all of you. My sincere thanks to Marilyn Eggers for her willingness and effort in making this happen. This will be a great way for us to share life with one another considering the busy lives we lead.

I want to thank you for taking the time to fellowship with one another at the brunch on January 5. It was "food" for me to see you enjoy and rejoice before the Lord. This was one of God's commands for the ancient Israelites (Deuteronomy 16:14-15).

Because I read through the Bible each year in the month of January, I like to do as little preaching as possible. So I've asked some of our "noted" speakers to preach God's word this month. Among them are Dave Kaplan (who blessed us this past Sabbath), Sheldon Schultz (Jan 11), and Will Thompson (Jan 25). I will be preaching just once (Jan 18). This will free up my time to do the reading I so look forward to each year.

Here are some areas of ministry that we need to fill soon. If you feel you have a gift and passion for any one of these, then please let me know:

• One or two Kindergarten ministry leaders (working with our little people in Sabbath School and other times)
• Communication ministry secretary (someone who can keep any and all important information circulating among us)
• Anyone interested in leading small groups (particularly young adult and early teen)

May the blessings of God chase after you every single day (a blessing based on Psalm 23:6)

2. MBA Church First Annual Brunch
We had a good time at the brunch. Take a look at the pictures. The church board cooked brunch with the expert guidance of Lisa Lara. Thanks, Lisa! Linda Walls and the Social Committee set up the tables beautifully. Thanks, Linda and team!

3. Small Groups
There are several small groups that meet each week for spiritual fellowship and growth. All are invited and are welcome to join any of the groups.

The offering calendar is for the loose money collected in the offering at church. Being involved in systematic giving means that you can turn in your commitment to the local church budget at any time of the month. Just be sure to put it into a tithe envelope and mark it for church budget.

5. Online Bibles - Devotional Study Tool
Here are some online tools to help you study the Bible. BibleGateway.com has the Bible in 28 languages and in 15 translations including the NIV. The Parallel Bible has Twenty-one Bible versions that allow side-by-side comparisons.
