1. Pastor's Message
Dear Church!

I received a blessing through Sheldon's message, “Let the Lion pursue you…and why not surrender?!”

Now let me spend a moment of meditation with you: It is true that the Lion pursues every one until they surrender to Him and submit their lives to Him - or, of course fully reject Him.

But, even after we have said, “yes” to Him through baptism, I find that the Lion of Judah is pursuing me every moment in order that I can function for that moment with His grace and for His purpose. The fact that I surrender one moment of the day, I find, is (unfortunately) not a guarantee I will surrender the next - although it makes it easier for the next.

After enough practice of surrendering to the Lion each day, each moment, there comes a time when we no longer surrender…but we remain!

Jesus said: “Remain in me, and I will remain in you.” (John 15:4)

I want to exhort us to look for the Lion as He looks for us…today!

2. Calling for Ministry Volunteers
The following ministry positions are currently open. Please contact the Pastor if you are interested <samk@mbachurch.org>.

• One or two Kindergarten ministry leaders (working with our little people in Sabbath School and other times)
• Communication ministry secretary (someone who can keep any and all important information circulating among us)
• Anyone interested in leading small groups (particularly young adult and early teen)

3. Participate in MBA Church's Small Groups
Several small groups are meeting each week, and all of them welcome you to join them. This is a time of mid-week spiritual refreshment and fellowship. If you would like to start your own small fellowship group, just contact Iva (see contact info on web page).

4. Freely ye have received...
Remember that the offering calendar is for the loose money collected in the offering at church.
