1. Pastor's Message
Hi Everyone,

There are several reasons why it's good to have a newsletter such as, informing ourselves about things, acknowledging people and ministries, etc. But the biggest reason we have started the e-Newsletter is because it's vital that we stay connected with each other during the week as believers.

The early church met together in homes and temple courts (according to Acts 2). Today there are many ways to stay connected and walk this journey together. The e-Newsletter is certainly one. So, I just want to encourage us to share events or circumstances from our lives. Both spiritual and mundane.

It doesn't matter if it's a paragraph or just a sentence or two. I want to invite us to share life together on the e-line. Just e-mail them to Marilyn Eggers <marilyne@mbachurch.org> anytime.

Suggestions:
  • Scripture you came across that God used to speak to you
  • Things that happened in your life that testified to God's power
  • Joys and/or frustrations of your week
  • People you'd like to pray about
  • Personal prayer requests
  • Ideas you might have for others or for the church

I hope that this e-newsletter can be a real source of sharing love and life amongst ourselves.

May Christ bless you richly each day,

Samuel Kaligithi

2. New Church Domain Name Now Being Used
Recently we signed up for our own domain name: mbachurch.org. We now have our own web address: http://www.mbachurch.org. In addition, we have now moved our MBA Church Newsletter listserv over to a new email address: newsletter@mbachurch.org. Now we don't have to live with advertisements at the bottom of all our messages!

3. Writing Ministry Mission Statements
A goal for each of our church ministries is for them to develop their own mission statements to drive all that they do. Set-N-Stone's mission statement is boldly displayed on their wall:

"Set-N-Stone is a youth driven ministry that exists to expose teen-agers to God's love, connect them to other believers, help them grow in their faith, and challenge them to discover their talents and honor God with their lives."

If you are ready to write your ministry's mission statement, here are a few resources to get you started. Please share your favorite resources for writing mission statements here next week!

6. Drink Living Water
God provides a beautiful picture of His church:

"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."

Colossians 3:12-14
