1. Pastor's Message
Namaste (Greetings, or blessings in Hindi)!

This is a time of tragedy for our country as week we face another tragedy in the skies. We are once again reminded of the tragedy of death. And what's so bad about death is that it happens both in the presence of sin and wickedness, as well as in the absence of it.

Whether a serial killer or an innocent baby… everyone takes a number and stands in line for their turn. William Shakespeare said, "By medicine life may be prolonged, yet death will seize the doctor too!"

But Jesus said, in John 11:25-26, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

Ironically, this is also the time for love. It's the LOVE month. Many will use the word more often and try to show it a little more often this month than any other month of the year.

Thankfully, love is the force that defeated death. "God so loved the world" that it cost Him the death of His one and only son. But His death was the last death. At least for believers. We will never have to die because He died and rose again.

Which is why Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life…whoever lives and believes in me will never die."

So we praise God that although we face the reality of the sleep-death all around us now, we will never have to face the reality of the death-death. What an assurance!

Praise be to God. And let us not forget to pray for the peace of the families of those who lost their lives in the Columbia space shuttle.

3. Righteousness by Faith Meetings This Weekend

4. Christian Brotherhood Weekend
This Sabbath will be a part of MBA's "Christian Brotherhood" weekend. The focus is to celebrate our cultural and ethnic diversity on the campus and in the world. We have many of our students participating, and our speakers for both Friday night and Sabbath are both Filipinos. Be sure to come!

5. Church Budget
Remember: Giving regularly to the church budget each month will empower our church ministries.

6. Church Soup Supper
You are all invited to attend the Church Soup Supper in the MBA Bunkhouse at 6:00 p.m this Saturday night. Please bring your favorite pot of soup along with bread, crackers, etc. Pie and ice cream will be served. Also, please bring your own soup bowls, spoons, etc., plus a good appetite. See you there!

7. Prayer Requests
Please pray for our church team who will be attending the SEEDS Conference this weekend and for those attending the Hayward meetings. But also please pray for this weekend's Christian Brotherhood Weekend at our own church. May God shower His blessings on us all!
