1. Pastor Update
Namaste!

Isn't life so dynamic? Each week brings a new set of opportunities and problems. In the midst of another "usual" week of opportunities and problems, I want to invite you to look to the One who is the source of opportunities and solution to our problems.

Just this morning I was discussing spiritual issues with a student in my office and we were talking about the good things that God brings into our lives and the bad things He allows.

The thoughts that came into our discussion centered on the importance of seeking God as the process and reward of our Christian walk.

If we can be careful not to get attached to the good things God brings into our lives (and still keep our desire upon the God who gave those good things) we will not be shaken by the bad things he allows (and still keep our desire upon the God who allowed those
things).

Then we concluded in remembering the example of the faith of Job. He sought God and was not attached to the things that God either blessed him with or removed from him.

For your meditation:

Job 1:20-21 "At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.""

Job 2:10 "Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?"

Love,
Samuel

2. Friday Sundown & Sabbath Offering
This Friday sundown will be at 6:15 p.m. The offering this Sabbath's will be for the local church budget. Remember, if each full-time working church member would pay just $55 per month, we would be able to meet the budget with no problem.
