1. Pastor Update

Namaste!

Dear on-line family, it is good to be back home after, at times, a rather frustrating but fruitful week of travel and ministry.

The year has almost ended here at MBA. As a pastor I can't help but look back and consider what we have done here to connect young people (and the young at heart) and ourselves with Jesus Christ in an authentic relationship.

Jesus said, in Matthew 10:42, "And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."

It is simply not possible for me to know all the ways in which each of us has extended the "cup" of Christ to "these little ones" this year. Whether it was a meal at your home, or a counseling session, or a Bible study, or just driving a few kids to town so they can enjoy the freedom of the outside world, it all matters in Christ's eyes.

But more intimate than that some of you, I am sure, have had the opportunity to share with a student (or a fellow adult) your walk with Christ to encourage them or to invite them.

I want to ask you a favor: Would you be willing to share with me a short experience you've had this year with a student or a fellow faculty on this campus - or even a co-worker at your workplace outside of the MBA campus - that bore the aroma of Christ in a real way?

Have you had the opportunity to influence someone through your life or words or actions? Or did someone else have a profound impact on your life this year? Or did some common conversation transpire into a spiritual surprise? Send me a short note and I would be thrilled to read it and be blessed. And, if you are willing--please include a note of permission, I would love to share it in an upcoming newsletter for the sake of others.

Send it to samk@mbachurch.org

Thank you!

Samuel

2. Invitation to Worship and Communion This Sabbath

We are thrilled to let you know that we will be having a time of worship and communion this Sabbath (May 3) at church. Since it is a home leave Sabbath, we thought it would be a good week to have communion in our church. Come and worship with our church family and be part of this special act of remembering the service and sacrifice of Christ.
