1. Pastor Update

Namaste!

Dear friends, I just want to take a moment to praise God for each one of you. Your presence, your love, and your commitment to Christ and His work are always an inspiration to me.

To be honest there are moments when I wonder how God thought it wise to place me here in ministry. That often has more to do with my own sense of inadequacy than anything else. In the same breath I must say that there are many other times when I praise God for bringing me here to live in ministry among you all.

What has always energized me in ministry is knowing that I am with a group of Christians that are freshly seeking God's anointing power and leadership. I found that God is always moving in interesting ways and preparing our paths for the course ahead so that we will not miss His calling.

Thank you for keeping your personal life with God well nourished and active. That always means more blessings to the whole rest of the body.

May God guide and lead you this week.

2. Church Visioning Questionnaire

The church board thanks all those who were able to come to our last-minute visioning session last Sabbath afternoon. The calendar was so tight that we decided to have the session in spite of the short notice. However, we want every single person to participate, so very soon you will receive an email with a questionnaire attached. Please fill it out prayerfully and send it back as directed by June 2, 2003. Thanks in advance for your participation and help! We want the MBA Church to be all that God wants it to be!

3. Friday Night Sundown & Sabbath Offering

This Friday night sundown will be at 8:15 p.m., and the offering this Sabbath will be for the Local Church Budget.

5. Sabbath Potluck Photos

Although there wasn't a big crowd for the potluck this past Sabbath, there was plenty of good food and fellowship. Check out the pictures in the church Scrapbook.

6. Adventist Prison Ministries Association Conventio

The Adventist Prison Ministries Association Convention will be July 23-26 in Phoenix, Arizona. Anyone interested in prison ministry training, organization, or networking should attend. Certification opportunities available. Early bird registration rates of US$110 for members and US$140 for non-members, are good through July 2. Enjoy the 21 excellent seminars, morning devotionals, a concert, Saturday night banquet, and more.

Contact: PlusLine to register and for more information. Inmate Spiritual Counseling, a new 46-hour degree (16 core courses) available from Griggs University, will be launched at the convention.
