1. Pastor Update

Namaste!

Hope you are having a good summer so far. I've got a couple of things to share with you that you might have already heard.

First of all, I ask you all to pray and offer support to Esther Castellanos. Her biopsy came back positive for breast cancer. As they proceed with further treatments let us all desire her good health and pray to our Father in heaven for health and peace on her behalf.

Secondly, we are sorry to hear that we are losing another of our dear church families from MBA: The Eggers. Both of them have been a blessing to this church. I've enjoyed working with Marilyn the last year in the church board, finance committee, and other leadership meetings. We know God's got a new purpose for them. We wish them the best. (This means we will be looking for someone who would want to work with our e-newsletter. Anyone interested? Let me know).

This Sabbath both the Castellanos and the Eggers will be here for our potluck. Be sure to be there for the fellowship. Let's try not to be too disconnected this summer, friends.

We will be starting at least one new small group this summer. Would you please let me know if you are interested in joining and/or if you'd be willing to host one in your home?

2. Friday Sundown & Sabbath Offering

Sundown this Friday will be at 8:12 p.m., and the offering this Sabbath will be for the Local Church Budget.

Please remember the local church budget this summer even if you are not able to attend church regularly. Doing so will help support the church's financial responsibilities and ministries. May God richly bless you all!

3. Correction

Last week I spelled Adrian Schmidt's name incorrectly. My apologies, Adrian!! We all wish you the best of luck as you study this summer! --Marilyn

4. Potluck This Sabbath

This Sabbath, June 21, there will be a church potluck at the Kaligithi's backyard. Bring some food and come fellowship with the church family. Let's keep connected this summer!

Read Jesus' counsel on how to treat our enemies in Matthew 5:43-48 in the NIV and The Message.
