Namaste!

Hey how is everyone doing? Hope you've been having a good summer so far. I spoke with Marilyn Eggers a couple of days ago and received instructions on how to send out the church newsletter. But it's not working yet. So we're trying it from Dave Kaplan's computer. Hope it works. This is still in the raw, so forgive me if there are any typos or grammatical errors. Until one of you comes forward to replace Marilyn in working with the church newsletter, I have no one to do a proof read. Oh well!

First off, I want to tell you that I sense that God will do something unique and special this coming school year in the life of MBAC. There are many changes and few familiar paths to go by. Which means we will have to really put our ear to the ground to see what God is leading us towards. Things will fall into place if all of us are seeking His will collectively.

Secondly, here's an IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT concerning church this Sabbath (August 16, 2003): We will be having a brief (1/2 hour long) business meeting immediately following church. I want to share with you a few things the church board has been discussing and is excited about. One, among other things, has to do with our gift-based ministry. We(Dave and I) will also briefly talk about our current situation with our church bus. Then Dave will share with you a vision he has for mid-week/small group prayer ministry on our campus for adults.

So, please try not to miss it. Your feedback and wisdom are valuable.

I have been mainly spending time with my family (apart from the ten days I spent in Oregon speaking for their youth tent at the Gladstone camp meeting), doing some devotional reading, and practicing my guitar. Just some things to "sharpen my axe" of life so to speak. I've watched a few Indian movies (on DVD's) to keep in touch with my culture.

Well, anxious to hear from you. I trust you are keeping well in the grace and love of Christ that has never left you.

Love,

Samuel Kaligithi
